چکیده

In the Khibiny and Lovozero alkaline massifs, there are numerous xenoliths of so-called ‘aluminous hornfelses’ composed uncommon mineral associations, which, firstly, ultra-aluminous, secondly, highly reduced. (K,Na)-feldspar, albite, hercynite, fayalite, minerals phlogopite-annite cordierite-sekaninaite series, corundum, quartz, muscovite, sillimanite, andalusite rock-forming minerals. Fluorite, fluorapatite, ilmenite, pyrrhotite, ulvöspinel, troilite, native iron characteristic accessory The protolith these rocks is unknown. We studied in detail petrography, mineralogy, chemical composition believe that hornfelses were formed as a result metasomatic influence foidolites. main reason for formation an unusual aluminous association high mobility aluminum promoted by fluid expelled from foidolites Na-Al-OH-F complexes. Thus, it fluorine controls and, consequently, associations metasomatites. gain alkalis to was intense crystallization (K,Na)-feldspar. As result, SiO2 deficiency formed, Si-poor, Al-rich silicates and/or oxides crystallized.

Alkaline mineral water lowers bone resorption even in calcium sufficiency: alkaline mineral water and bone metabolism.

BACKGROUND Dietary acid charge enhances bone loss. Bicarbonate or alkali diet decreases bone resorption in humans. We compared the effect of an alkaline mineral water, rich in bicarbonate, with that of an acid one, rich in calcium only, on bone markers, in young women with a normal calcium intake. METHODS This study compared water A (per litre: 520 mg Ca, 291 mg HCO(3)(-), 1160 mg SO(4)(-), P...

Ca3Be6B5O16F: the first alkaline-earth beryllium borate with fluorine anions.

The first all-alkaline-earth beryllium borate with fluorine anions, Ca3Be6B5O16F, was synthesized by a spontaneous crystallization flux method using LiF-B2O3 as the flux. The structural framework of Ca3Be6B5O16F is composed of the inter-connected [Be6B3O16] and [BO3] fundamental building blocks, with [CaO7F] distorted polyhedra located in the interstitial sites. The [Be6B3O16] group is discover...

Mineral chemistry and thermobarometry of Eocene Alkaline volcanic rocks in the Southwest of Germi, NW Iran

Petrography and chemistry of minerals showing that Eocene alkaline volcanic rocks in southwestern of Germi (Talesh zone, NW Iran) mostly have basaltic composition. Mineralogically these rocks are composed of diopsidic clinopyroxene and labradoritic plagioclase phenocrysts. The microlithic and glassy groundmass composed of sanidine, clinopyroxene, biotite, pargasitic amphibole and magnetite asso...

Synthesis of Zeolites, Merlinoite Minerals of Damavand’s Natural Clinoptiloite Zeolites Mineral in Hydrothermal Conditions, under the Influence of Alkaline

In the present research synthesis of zeolites, merlinoite minerals of natural clinoptiloite mineral in the presence of alkaline mediums, was investigated. The analyzed variants are a result of a concentration of Na+ and K+ ions, temperature and time. Phase transition of clinoptiloite was conducted in the presence of an 8 molar potash solution (KOH) and a 4 molar soda solution (NaOH). Results in...

Fluorotyrosine alkaline phosphatase from Escherichia coli: preparation, properties, and fluorine-19 nuclear magnetic resonance spectrum.

Alkaline phosphatase (EC 3.1.3.1) containing m-flurotyrosine has been prepared from E. coli grown in the presence of m-flurotyrosine. The kinetic properties of the m-fluorotyrosine enzyme measured with p-nitrophenylphosphate at pH 8.0 and dinitrophenylphosphate at pH 5.5 are essentially the same as those of normal alkaline phosphatase. However, the ability of the m-fluorotyrosine protein to ref...
